I opened Lumos Vision in January 2026, after years of serving the East London and King William’s Town community. I didn’t always know I wanted to be an optometrist — I gave myself a year. That year changed everything. I fell in love with the precision of it, and the smile on a patient’s face when they can finally see clearly.
That passion led me to specialise in Ocular Therapeutics, so I could do more for the patients who need it most. I believe in educating myself and my patients — an instinct I owe to my mother, a social worker who taught me that if you can help, you should.
